The Original Margarita was created by American socialite Margaret “Margarita” Sames when she combined two of her favourite spirits, Tequila and Cointreau orange liqueur. In celebration of the 70^th anniversary of the Margarita, we present to you the “Margarita Loves Cointreau Cocktail Set” that includes everything you need to mix the Original Margarita for yourself.

Ingredients:

30ml Cointreau orange liqueur

50ml Blanco Tequila

20 ml Fresh Lime Juice

How to Mix:

1. Wet Margarita glass rim with lime and press into salt.
2. Combine all ingredients in a shaker and add ice.
3. Shake and strain into salt-rimmed Margarita glass.
4. Garnish with a lime wheel.

As Margarita Sames would say, “A Margarita without Cointreau is not worth its salt”
